Hello Market Members, NEW and re-NEWing!
It is that time of year again as we prepare for our opening day and running another successful season of the Market. With that comes the expenses of paying our musicians and continue to buy produce and baked goods from our vendors to fill “Mary Ellen's Basket”. We also like to tuck some away in the bank for unexpected expenses or an investment for the future. It is also a pleasure that we’re able to hire presenters at the Market, give out free samples, supply sidewalk chalk and activities for the kids, and purchase new road signs, etc. For these reasons and MANY more, each year we are so grateful to our supporters who renew or become new Market Members. Your yearly dues of $25 help us keep the Market strong and vibrant. 2020 is our 14th year – can you believe it? We could not have done it without YOU!! Becoming a member is simple – look for the Member Form on our website, in the Town Email, or you can also email us at canterburyfarmersmarket@gmail.com and we will reply with a form. You can also stop by the Market Info tent at any of our Wednesday Markets, starting June 3rd. Just so you know, Market Memberships represent 50% of our basic operating budget each year. Stall fees from our vendors and music sponsors make up the rest of our income.

In response to COVID-19, we are taking the necessary precautions to ensure that the Market is a safe place for locals to purchase their fresh produce and support our local farmers. Stay tuned as we are continuously working together on these guidelines. The Market will run from 4-6:30, rain or shine, in our traditional spot in the parking area and field next to the Elkins Library.
