Mary Ellen's Basket

“Mary Ellen’s Basket”, named in honor of Mary Ellen Fifield, who was a stalwart community member and long-time market supporter. This program is used to purchase fresh, local produce and groceries to fill baskets for those in Canterbury who could use a helping hand. A basket is prepared on the last Wednesday of each month during the summer and at each of the indoor winter Markets. Please visit the Market Info table on any Wednesday during the Market season – we will be happy to answer any questions you may have! For those looking to contribute to this program, we encourage you to become a member of the market. Our members are what make Mary Ellen’s Basket possible.
