Wednesday, June 26 -- Strawberry Fields Forever!



Come to the Market and celebrate the sweetest spring fruit. It’s “Strawberry Fields Forever” week! Enjoy boxes of fresh strawberries, baked goods, fruit preserves, and fresh shortcake with berries and cream. Our local vendors will also have a good selection of produce, pasture-raised meats, dairy, eggs, maple and sweet stuff, fresh baked goods, flowers, and crafts.



VENDOR UPDATE


Below is just a sampling of what our wonderful vendors will have this week.

  • Blakeney’s – Strawberry shortcake biscuits and special strawberry scones! Plus assorted flavored breads, plain baguettes and batards, scones, and pretzels.

  • Brookford Farm – The grilled cheese was such a hit last week, they will do it again! They will also have dairy, lacto-fermented products, vegetables and eggs.

  • North Family Farm - Fresh maple syrup, cream, sugar and candy.

  • Old Ways Traditions – New 12” and 14” pine trays plus bowls and plates turned from a variety of local woods, shaker style dovetailed totes, boxes, cherry and birch cutting boards, bentwood hooks and hangers, shaker peg racks and knife racks.

  • Petals in the Pines – Donna will be serving up her famous Swedish Almond cake with strawberries and whipped cream. There will be small and large cakes available for purchase, as well as leaf stone birdbaths, succulent filled planters, hand stamped and dyed scarves, plus flower coloring pages for the kiddos!

  • Red Manse will have organic strawberries and rhubarb this week, along with cilantro and some canned goods using their produce.

  • Sanborn Meadow Farm – Greens including mixed baby greens, arugula, lettuce, chard, scallions, radishes. Possibly the first snap peas! Also purple, thai, and lemon basil plants.

  • Warner River Produce – Strawberries! Plus a wide variety of vegetables and herbs.

  • **This week expect to see 24 Karrot Baking and Tupelo Point Lavender back at the Market!**


AROUND THE MARKET

  • LIVE music this week by Speed the Plough. This NH based string band, Speed the Plough, plays a medley of Americana music, and are a favorite at the Market!

  • This week, we will be collecting donations for Mary Ellen’s Basket, accepting donations of cash, market tokens, or market goods for community families in need. Please help us live up to our motto “It takes a community to feed a community”! We’ll see you there!
