ART at the mARkeT Week!
Come to the Canterbury Community Farmers Market this Wednesday, August 28th from 4- 6:30 p.m. and welcome the NH Plein Air Painters to our market. You can watch art-in-action! Remember, it is never too early to start holiday shopping or treat yourself to some local color so be sure to check out our amazingly talented craft vendors.
Our local vendors will also have a good selection of fruit and veggies, dairy, eggs, maple, and sweet stuff, fresh baked goods, flowers, pickled produce and fruit jams.
Below is just a tiny sampling of what our hard-working vendors have to offer this week. Check to see what ready-to-eat goodness is available this week! There is no reason to be hungry at the Market!!
Brookford Farm – Have you tried their grilled cheese? It’s amazing so wander to the back of the market and grab one! They will also have krauts, organic vegetables, and 100% grass-fed dairy.
Lewis Farm – They’re back with yummy treats for our hungry friends! This week’s menu: grilled pork loin or shaved farm vegetable slaw taco with cotija cheese, chipotle aioli, & cilantro-lime crema.
Meadows Pond Soaps – In addition to her wonderful soaps and lotions, Janet will have some of her own paintings for sale. She’ll also join the Plein Air Painters in creating art live at the market.
Old Ways Traditions - Dave’s turned bowls and plates, sandwich boards, totes and storage boxes are all made out of local wood and are truly works of ART.
Petals in the Pines – Check out the Leaf Stone birdbaths and planters, hand-stamped & dyed botanical silk scarves, and Swedish Almond Cakes. They’ll have an assortment of fresh-cut flowers from their PYO gardens. A Monarch butterfly viewing tent will be there for all to see the different stages of the monarch. Come by and share your monarch stories from this summer.
Salty Rose - Wearable art in the form of plant and mushroom inspired patches! Pepita mylk and pumpkin seed products.
Sanborn Meadow Farm – Tomatoes galore! Plus lettuce mix, lettuce heads, arugula, mixed greens, tatsoi, kale, chard, collards, onions, carrots, green beans, and loads of cucumbers, zucchini and summer squash.
